At Summercroft Primary in Bishop's Stortford, pupils marked World Maths Day by taking part in a range of numeracy projects.Pencils were banned for the day, and the 'pencil police' issued cautions in the form of maths challenges to anyone caught using one.Everyone made maths hats for a hat parade, Year 3 created Kandinsky pictures, Year 2 used Numicon to make different numbers, Year 5 carried out ratio investigations while Year 6 made their own calculation songs.Teacher Kate Davey said:...
