A wall safe containing blank prescription pads and keys was stolen in a burglary at the doctors' surgery in Thaxted.No drugs or personal details of patients were taken.The thieves broke into the surgery in Margaret Street by smashing a side window overnight last Wednesday and Thursday (Oct 14-15).Sarah Carruthers, practice manager, said: "They broke a window in the night but they didn't manage to get any drugs.
