Police are investigating following a fire of "doubtful origin" in a field in Thorley Park, Bishop's Stortford.
Herts Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the flames, near Larchwood off Friedberg Avenue, at around 8pm yesterday (Sunday).
It sent a crew from the town's fire station in Patmore Close to deal with the blaze. Firefighters extinguished it using a hose reel.
