Bishop's Stortford restaurant Host has hit out at council demands to remove two pots containing small trees from its door.
The Market Square eatery was served a notice by Herts County Council (HCC) demanding that two brick plinths and planters are removed by August 30.
Calling the structures an "obstruction and nuisance to the public users of this highway", it said it would remove them and recoup costs from the business.
