Police called in a helicopter, dogs and search and rescue volunteers as they mounted a widespread hunt for a missing woman in Bishop's Stortford on Thursday (August 6).
The 37-year-old had last been seen in the early hours of Thursday. The search continued into Friday. Police conducted it without resorting to an appeal to the press and public for help or information.
