Cattle were running loose through Bishop's Stortford town centre this afternoon (Wednesday) after a Stansted Express train hit a herd, killing three cows.
Hertfordshire Constabulary was called just after 3pm following a report of cows on the railway line at the Cannons Mill Lane footpath crossing.
