Herts & Essex Observer published M11 near Stortford closed by vehicle fire

There are long delays on the M11 near Bishop's Stortford this afternoon (Sunday) following a vehicle fire.Essex County Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the incident on the southbound carriageway at 3.46pm.The road was blocked between junctions 8 (Bishop's Stortford/Stansted Airport/A120) and 9 (Saffron Walden/A11) while firefighters extinguished the flames.Two crews from Saffron Walden, one from Newport and one from Stansted were sent to the scene.The vehicle was on the hard shoulder and...
