Burglars took more than £3,000 worth of items after breaking into a hair salon in Bishop's Stortford.The incident at Avant Garde, in Market Square, happened between 7.15pm on Friday (May 8) and 7.30am on Saturday (May 9).Burglars got into the property through a rear window. Once inside, they cut CCTV wires, causing £600 damage.They took several pairs of hair straighteners with a total value of £2,214, gadgets worth £700, a £99 hair-dryer and £30 cash.
