A project to turn Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall into an electricity generator has gone live.Friends of the Memorial Hall, in The Forebury, have funded the £25,000 initiative which will see the facility's lights and electrical appliances powered by sunlight.Some 60 panels on the south-facing roof should generate 15,558kW hours of electricity annually - equivalent to the power required for at least six Sawbridgeworth homes.As well as powering the hall, the new panels will also feed additional...
