Winter has officially ended today (Thursday) for Herts County Council's gritting crews.They have parked their trucks after a season which began in October last year.Since then the crews, operated by Ringway, carried out 60 separate countywide trips, spreading around 15,000 tonnes of salt to help make Herts' priority roads safer.
